New Logo & Model 3 Door G-I-T-D

So I decided to spend some time working on my logo. I am pretty happy with it. Hope you also find it appealing.

I finished testing the cutouts for the Model 3 Door Decal on the Glow-in-the-Dark Materials. I had to modify a few things as the GITD material is much thicker and has a stronger adhesive. The results are good and I will be adding the new material to the Door product later this week.

New Product & Glow-in-the-Dark

A new product has been added to the store! You can now order a highly reflective decal for your Model 3 front emblem. The material will shine brightly at night when light hits it and will appear Silver-White during the day.

Glow-in-the-Dark is now available for the Model 3 & Original Door button decals. I am really disappointed with the results of the glow. I think it has to do with the IR/UV coating on the windows. The buttons are also tucked back a little so they never get long exposure to sunlight.

If you order the Glow-in-the-Dark decals, I include a free set of the white. That way if you are also disappointed with the results you can replace them easily.

New Materials!

So I ordered some 3M Scotchlite™ 680 White Vinyl & Avery™ HV 1200 White Vinyl.

This new film is a retro-reflective film that appears white/silver in daylight, but is highly reflective under bright lights at night. Think of it like the reflective materials on running clothes and safety vests.

I am experimenting with this material for my decals to make certain parts of the car standout at night.

Glow-in-the-Dark Installed

I have tested 6 different materials as of this post. The results have been lacking. The “Glow” of the decal is hard to see before dusk.

The picture above shows the best material so far. As you can see it has a yellow/green tint to it. The decal doesn’t get much direct sunlight so the charge doesn’t last long. More testing to do!

Monday (Jan 8th), the wife goes back to work so if the sun is shining, the car will be outside all day and I can get a true test.

Glow-in-the-Dark Testing!

Several Glow-in-the-Dark materials have been delivered and are installed on my Model 3 and being tested! I hope to have the material tested and ready for sale shortly after Christmas.

Stay tuned for updates with the Glow-in-the-Dark materials.

The material will be available for all button decal products (Original, Model 3, Model 3 Door)
